  1. Over-the-top, just continues talking about imaginations that she is told to dump on ATRs from some script and may actually believe herself.

  2. My daughter asked me, “Mom, why you so stressed?” This Field Supervisor nitpicks and goes on and on and over and over to “Infinity and beyond.” I try not to let this FS bother me, but enough is enough!

    • The observations of ATRs in rotating assignments is unprofessional and unacceptable on several counts:
      *The ATRs often don’t know the students.
      *The ATRs often have been covering a class out of license, with or without the regular teacher’s lesson plan.
      *The ATRs are told to differentiate lessons for the students, but they have not met them or have not been provided their IEPs or other personal data such as ELL status.
      * There are no consequences for these Supervisors to lie. Most of them are falsifying the dialogue.
      *All a setup for engaging in age discrimination. The observation system used as a weapon to make an experienced teacher look like incompetent.
      * The rating officer is someone an ATR never met. It used to be the Principal.
      It is all about discrimination, and harassment. Thank you Mulgrew. How can a Union agree to have ATRs observed? It is a nuisance that is causing stress to teachers near retirement. It is a blank check given to Field Supervisors. It is wrong , and the UFT is to be blamed for accepting this secret deal which is a another fiasco.

  3. I had Ms. Brown for the 2014/15 season. She saw me 15 times!! Observed me three times. She was fair and gave me an S for the observations. Comes to see you a lot!

      How unfair is it to observe a teacher in a classroom of strangers, with no ownership of their grades, and no idea how much rigor to put into a lesson since the ATR has no idea of the students’ academic ability? It is just age discrimination

    Other times she is sleepy & mumbling!
    Is Carol Brown ok? She should be reported for
    her strange behavior . . or stop popping pills!
    It’s amazing she’s a supervisor showing up to
    schools under her condition. She should be
    reported to the media if they continue to keep
    her on the job!!!! And you should hear what
    the teachers at her old school have to say about her!!

  8. I have Carol this year. She visits her white ATR’s
    about 50 to 60 times a year. Don’t worry if you are black because she will only show up a few times and give you a S.
    Be very worried if you are white!
